Founded by Steve "Birdo" Guisinger and skate photographer Steve Keenan, after they both left Santa Cruz in 1992. Keenan left the company in 1996, but Guisinger later made Leticia Ruano a partner in 1998.
Consolidated launched their much publicized "Don't Do It" campaign in 1996 and again in 2001. "Don't Do It" which is a grass roots campaign to rally against large sporting goods manufacturers entering into the boarding sports industry.
