Founded in 1993 by Ken Block and Damon Way as a footwear extension of Droors Clothing, hence the name DC Shoes. They made a name for themselve early on, with their progressive styles and an elite skate team.
As time has gone on, DC became more of a mainstream brand for the masses and in 2004 was acquired by Quiksilver.
